Third-Party TCPA/DNC Compliance Add-On

The third-party TCPA/DNC compliance add-on helps your firm screen phone numbers before outbound AI Campaign calls. Before Kayse AI dials a phone number, the add-on can check the number against Do Not Call lists, known TCPA litigators, reassigned-number data, and phone ownership data. If an enabled check returns a risky result, Kayse AI blocks the call.

You control which checks run. Checks that pass let the call go through as normal.

For a broader explanation of native Kayse protections versus add-on protections, see Kayse Compliance Protections.

What the Checks Do

Kayse AI can run up to four checks before each call:

  • DNC Registry Screening — Is this number on a Federal or State Do Not Call list? If yes, Kayse AI blocks the call.
  • TCPA Litigator Scrub — Is this number tied to a known TCPA complainer or a person who often files lawsuits? If yes, Kayse AI blocks the call.
  • Reassigned Number Screening — Has this phone number been handed off to a new owner since the contact gave TCPA consent? Kayse AI checks the FCC Reassigned Numbers Database against the contact's consent date and blocks the call if the number was reassigned. This is the Reassign Phone Number / Reassigned Auth+ protection.
  • Phone Ownership Check — Does the name on the case actually match the real owner of the phone? If it doesn't match, Kayse AI blocks the call. This is also called RightPartyID.

Each check runs on its own. If one check has an error, the others still run.

INFO

These checks only run for outbound calls and SMS from AI Campaigns. They don't affect emails or the AI Receptionist.

How to Connect the Add-On

  1. Open Company Settings → Integrations in Kayse AI.
  2. Find the DNC + Ownership Verification card and click Connect.
  3. Paste your DNC / Ownership Verification API key.
  4. Pick which checks to turn on:
    • DNC Registry Screening (on by default)
    • TCPA Litigator Scrub (on by default)
    • Reassigned Number Screening (off by default — turn on if your contacts have TCPA consent dates)
    • Phone Ownership Check (on by default)
  5. Click Connect.

That's it. Your AI Campaigns will start checking numbers before every outbound call when campaign-level screening is enabled.

Don't Have an API Key Yet?

You need an account with the third-party TCPA/DNC compliance provider. Contact the provider to get a key, then come back and paste it here.

How to Change or Disconnect

Want to swap your key, turn a check on or off, or shut it off completely?

  1. Open Company Settings → Integrations.
  2. Click Settings on the DNC + Ownership Verification card.
  3. Update your key or flip any of the four toggles.
  4. Click Save.
  5. To shut it off, click Disconnect at the bottom.

TIP

Turning off the add-on doesn't break your campaigns. They keep running as normal, but they no longer check numbers against the add-on's DNC, reassigned-number, TCPA litigator, or phone ownership services.

How the Checks Run

When a campaign is about to dial a number, Kayse AI does this:

  1. DNC Registry Screening — If the number is on a DNC list, the call is blocked. You'll see the reason: "Blocked by Do Not Call List."
  2. TCPA Litigator Scrub — If the number matches a known complainer, the call is blocked.
  3. Reassigned Number Screening — If the number was reassigned after the contact's TCPA consent date, the call is blocked.
  4. Phone Ownership Check — If the campaign has RightPartyID on and the name doesn't match, the call is blocked. You'll see the reason: "Blocked by RightPartyID Mismatch."
  5. If every check passes, the call goes through normally.

Every decision is saved in your audit logs so your team can review them later.

Turn Screening On or Off for a Campaign

Each campaign has its own Enable DNC + RightPartyID Screening toggle on the Details tab. It only shows up when the third-party add-on is connected for your company.

  • On (default): The campaign runs all the checks you turned on in your integration settings. Calls that fail any check are blocked.
  • Off: The campaign skips every check. All calls go through as normal.

Use this toggle when you want one campaign to skip add-on checks, while your other campaigns keep them on.

If You Haven't Connected the Add-On

Your campaigns still work.

  • Campaigns run just like they did before.
  • The Enable DNC + RightPartyID Screening toggle doesn't show up.
  • Numbers do not get checked against the add-on's DNC, reassigned-number, TCPA litigator, or phone ownership services.

FAQ

Does add-on screening slow my campaigns down? No. Each check takes only milliseconds. Your campaign runs as fast as always.

What if the provider's server is down? If the API returns an error, Kayse AI lets the call go through. The error gets logged so you can see what happened.

Is this the same as phone number enrichment? No, they do different jobs. Add-on screening checks if a number is safe to call. Enrichment and self-healing look up fresh contact info, such as a new phone number. They work side by side.
